Background
Family Sage was founded in 2024 to address the lack of infrastructure and tools for families who care for a loved one, and the anxiety and depression that can come with it.
Family Sage offers a product specifically built for caregivers to foster connection, share insights, and provide professional support to increase success and balance as a caregiver.
Problem definition
Community chat groups provide more than just a feeling of being seen, they often provide helpful tips, recommendations, and resources that are valuable not only to conversation participants but also observers, but it's not always easy to takeaway those insights.
Existing solutions like Slack, Whatsapp, and Facebook, make it hard to access insights and advice when you first join because relevant conversations in the past disappear or become prohibitively difficult to access.
User needs
When new caregivers enter the platform, many might not be initially looking to start a conversation, but rather to learn from what’s already been shared. Catching up on a long history of chat would be time consuming and difficult.
It's also common for the same questions to come up over and over again within a community. Instead of requiring members to provide the same answers repeatedly, we wanted to deliver insights in a new way that would ease new caregivers into the platform and allow experienced caregivers and professionals to put their time into deeper moments of connection like live sessions.

Solution definition
We wanted to give members a single place to catch up on the growing knowledge for the community, and easily revisit that knowledge as needed.
How it works:
As new content is created, in the form of posts or replies, the content is analyzed by AI (chatGPT). If a conversation appears to be useful or educational, it will get indexed.
Questions and answers are extracted and summarized from indexed content.
This knowledge repository can be casually browsed, as you scroll through various questions, problems, or learnings that other caregivers may have had and help or answers they were given.
In the future this knowledge base could also be searched, so if you’re looking for help with a specific topic or question, you can easily find similar content
All extracted / summarized content points back to the original thread, so you can read the original authentic messages if you desire
